What a weekend!

Friday night Bri, Jessi, and I went to supper at the Corner Bar & Grill. I’m telling you, if you haven’t gone to see their new remodel and try out their menu, you are missing out.
Saturday was Jamestown Prom! Lucas and Hayley came into the studio for a mini session. I delivered almost 30 photos (oops!) I had a hard time picking what to edit. They have such a cute relationship and they’re so fun to be around.

After prom photos I got to worrkkkk!!
I took the doors off a hutch I bought for storage in the studio. I was so excited when I moved into the new studio space because I knew I would have room for pieces of furniture for storage and if you know your girl…you know I love a diy.
This hutch is particle board but I knew with a good scuff sand I use a roller with a super short nap to get that smooth finish I wanted. I took the doors and the drawers home, scuff sanded, painted with this lovely green Benjamin Moore paint I picked up from Ace Hardware here in town and go to work.

I recently discovered how convenient Ace Hardware is and I have been there multiple times already, ha!
So I finished those on Saturday then Sunday ran to the studio to finish the rest of the piece. It took longer than expected but between coats I was able to set up the studio for a boudoir session I have on Thursday so it all worked out.

Here’s the finished product of the hutch. I LOVE the color and the gold knobs I got off Amazon were the perfect match to round out this piece.
Plot twist! Prom photos are a 24 hour turnaround. You know how it goes, you go to prom, have a great time, want your pictures back right away because everyone is posting all of their great photos on the socials.
To fight fomo you get a photographer like me who will, against her better judgement, commit to a 24 hour turnaround.
Shoutout to my clients who received their photos at 9:30 pm (not necessarily a 24 hour turnaround) and were ecstatic when they received them! Woooo!!
That’s all I got for now. Thank you for reading!
